New Year’s Resolutions & Can You Get the Results from Exercising at Home?

Happy New Year!

I hope you had a great holiday and are ready to kick start your New Year’s Resolutions! It might sound like an old clishee but believe it or not, many people still tend to review their achievements and set new goals around this particular time of the year:) Fitness is one of the most common subjects in January; I suppose it’s a natural follow up after having nearly the whole of December full of parties, events, drink and food ( most of us can’t or simply don’t want to resist). So now is a time to reflect and reset our mindset to a healthier and fitter direction.

The weather is quite freezing here and the natural instinct is to find every excuse to stay indoors. We opt for the cozy comfort of our homes and more often than not, become ever more sedentary in the process as our well set New Year’s Resolutions start to drift off… So how can we stop this? If you ask any fitness professional whether it's possible to get a good workout at home, chances are they'll respond by saying you can get a good workout anywhere. What stands in the way of you and a solid workout isn't where you do it—it's whether you do it.

The two main limitations people think of when they consider working out at home are space and equipment.

The answer is: You don't have to. You don't even need shoes to work out indoors.  All you need is a space the size of a yoga mat so you can move in all different planes of motion. And, certainly, a good exercise program – have you tried Ballet Body Sculpture Online Classes?

But, like all choices, there are a few downsides to at-home workouts. Many people go to our Ballet Body Sculpture studio classes for the community aspect of exercising. For some, being around other people who are working out is the motivator.

Another point to think about is there's no external accountability at home—only you know if you do it correctly if at all and there's no fee for skipping it. Other than equipment being a limiting factor, people often get distracted with other tasks or things they need to do while being at home and can't dedicate time to a full workout.

So it all depends on how disciplined you are with yourself. At home, you certainly have your own comfort and a free choice of time and space, however if you do like working out at home and feel that you just need some motivation and clear direction – personal training online could be the way forward for you!
