Effective techniques to achieve your exercise goals

We all have expectations when it comes to exercising, achieving goals, learning dance steps, ballet technique or simply losing weight. To maintain what you’ve accomplished, become healthier, fitter, and leaner, stronger – is what drives us to do and take action on our goals.  How can you make sure you are successful, whether at the ballet studio, exercising at home, gym, outside, traveling or at home?  To begin the process, to make sure you are successful in achieving your best body shape – you must have some effective process in place.

Here are a few techniques that you can apply to achieving your exercise goals as well as any orther areas of your life:

1.  Think about it:  Think about what you expect to achieve.  What is your goal? Believe that you will achieve it, creating a positive attitude. Have faith and believe in yourself.

2. Imagine it:  Imagine following your favorite exercise program – whether it’s at the dance studio or at home training, using our online classes.  Enjoy the feeling of getting through some difficult movements, overcoming your weakness, getting stronger, having fun dancing, learning new steps and how energetic you feel once you’ve finished the class or how much better you look in your clothes.  Expect it and feel the excitement of your achievement!

3.  Commit yourself:  Choose a training program that’s right for you.  Decide how many days you realistically can commit to your program.  Check your schedule and if you can exercise 5 days a week commit to those 5 days; if its more or even less, just stick with it.

4.  Choose the right environment to take Action:  Surround yourself with likeminded people, be inspired by the your coach or a teacher, never compare yourself with anyone else – you are truly unique. Remember all your past achievements and be proud of it all, never forget it. Enjoy the process to be guided in becoming the best you can be!
