What our clients say...

“I always wanted to start ballet lessons as it felt very appealing, but at my age I didn't feel very comfortable in joining local ballet school, as I felt ballet is only for young people or for professionals. But when I received a flyer from Ballet Body Sculpture I got really interested, to sculpture the body using ballet caught my attention.

Since I started the lessons with Asta, I felt a big improvement in my flexibility, coordination, body awareness and control, which I was unable to achieve in all my previous training, even working with a personal trainer. My posture improved and movements become very fluid and elegant. I love when I get the exercise form correctly, it always makes me feel really elegant and gives a nice feeling of confidence.

For anyone that is thinking but is hesitant to try the classes, I would definitely recommend to try at least one lesson and you will immediately start to feel the difference. The exercises are very well developed, leaving the feeling of warm, well conditioned and toned body after every workout." Britta Dietsche

“Ballet Body Sculpture training classes is something for which I have been searching for over 30 years.

Since my childhood I always wanted to try ballet, but never really felt very comfortable, or it was never the right time. After 10 years as a scientist, I started to focus more on my body awareness and decided to try something different and unique.

Undertaking the lessons on the regular basis has significantly improved my posture, flexibility, self expression and confidence in my body. I have developed core strength, flattened my stomach and significantly reduced bloating. Changes to my walk and movements in my daily life have become so apparent that people started to compliment me on my grace. I really enjoy seeing my weekly progress, and being able to relax and de-stress during the class, it's great seeing what my body is capable of achieving!

For anyone thinking of trying Ballet Body Sculpture, I would say, if you start you, will never regret.  The exercises are very well designed to achieve your goals. Trust the teacher, be prepared to be open and listen, work with yourself and the results will be rewarding." Melissa

“When I came across Ballet Body Sculpture it attracted me as a very elegant and feminine training. I always loved watching ballet performances and wanted find some exercise for my body that would feel comfortable and graceful.

Exercising a couple of times a week on a regular basis in a very short space of time improved my posture, balance and coordination. My core strength and stamina got stronger, I became a lot more flexible and confident. Asta is a lovely teacher, I really enjoy the balance of the exercises at the class and nice music. Lessons are very social, during my period of training I have met a lot of international people.

I would say that if you want to improve your posture, flexibility, core strength, coordination, self expression amongst other benefits, it's really worth while trying out. Be prepared to put some effort in but in a fun and graceful way.” Christa Schwarz

“I used to do ballet when I was little, and remember really enjoying the elegant movements and classical music. I never became a professional dancer, but always liked keeping fit and followed my interest in ballet as part of my cultural education. When I heard about Ballet Body Sculpture, it was a great discovery. It sounded like a really unique way of building a good posture as well as fitness, but in a graceful way.

Changes that I started to feel in my body, using well set up mind and body exercises kept me very motivated. My coordination and flexibility was something I always wanted to improve. After exercising on regular basis, I started to feel very good results not only in my coordination, flexibility and body awareness, but also in my posture as well as core strength. Something that I was unable to achieve in other exercise classes and gyms.

The classes give me an opportunity to be competitive with my own self, always reaching for better results and higher achievements. Every time after the class my body feels great, toned, conditioned and lengthened. I also like the fact that there is nice social side to these lessons, where you can chat and meet the same people on a regular basis and enjoy exercising together.” Frances Terribile

“It was serendipity that I started taking ballet lessons. As I had a shoulder problem a friend of mine suggested that I should try Ballet Body Sculpture to improve my posture.

In a very short space of time I started making noticeable improvement in my posture, core strength, stamina, fitness and balance. The best thing is that Asta’s program is so well organized that I had not experienced any pain throughout the training and, in meanwhile still making progressive improvement. It makes me actually curious to see and to experience ongoing progress.

Amongst all other benefits it has also been a great stress relief. The music is very well chosen for the exercises and for me each exercise requires a high level of concentration to engage my body.

I absolutely recommend it for anyone thinking of starting to train with Ballet Body Sculpture. They will gain new insight into how their body coordinates and functions, as well as discovering new muscle groups they had never thought about or knew existed!” Olga

“If you asked me why I decided to start taking ballet lessons, I would tell you what Simone de Beauvoir used to say: “ One is not born an woman, one becomes one”. Ballet encapsulates for

me the essence of a woman: an iron hand in a velvet glove. Not only does ballet require a lot of physical and psychological inner strength but dancing is also excellent for your soul.  I can confirm that, once in class, I feel totally mindful instead of mind full.  So why did I decide to do ballet? Well, to be a happy soul in a healthy, more gracious body.

Following an unfortunate accident whilst training for a swimming competition, I had to stop training for a while. Whilst recovering, I kept looking for an activity that would help me gain more core strength. I tried many but one element was always missing. ( most of the time, the fun one J) The first time I went to Ballet Body Sculpture class, I totally fell in love with the place and the atmosphere. I was enchanted to find teachers who could naturally push me to my limits and differentiate the class according to the participants’ experience, level and flexibility. Within one week, I could see an improvement in my flexibility and I never went back to physio. Most recently, I completed a 15 K run, without much training and went to ballet the next day, just to do some stretches to relax my legs. The following day, I could not feel any pain. My legs were perfectly fine again.

If I were to recommend this class, I would say: “ come and join some lovely ladies!”. Ballet Body Sculpture manage to create a beautiful working atmosphere. The participants are always pleasant and humble… honestly, do you think I would travel all the way from Zug if it wasn’t amazing?

Ballet Body Sculpture teachers have a unique teaching style and I truly enjoy working on fabulously relaxing music whether it is in the beautiful villa by the lake, or in brand new studios in the city centre. I’m going to miss it for the summer as these are my mindful moments.” Marie-Pierre Debiton
